Step-by-Step: How to Use MorningMate

Step 1 — Create a New Project

  1. Open MorningMate on your mobile device
  2. Tap Projects from the footer menu
  3. Tap the plus icon and select New Project
  4. Give your project a name (example: Sales Team)
  5. Set it as Public or Private
  6. Select a category from the available options
  7. Tap Confirm then Create

Your project is now live and ready for your team.


Step 2 — Invite Teammates and Clients

  1. Inside your project, tap Invite
  2. Select Employees to invite internal teammates
  3. To invite external partners or clients, tap Partner and add them

External clients can be invited for free with a single click — no paid seat required for them.


Step 3 — Post to the Project Feed

The project feed works like a social media timeline — everything your team shares appears here in real time. To post, tap the plus icon and choose from:

  • Article — write a full post with text, images, links, PDFs, or live location. Use the AI icon to generate daily reports or write articles using templates. Set visibility to private (project managers only) or public (all participants)
  • To-Do — create a checklist that all participants can tick off as items are completed
  • Poll — create a vote with multiple options for team feedback and decision-making
  • Event — schedule meetings and events (covered in detail below)
  • Text — quick updates and announcements

Step 4 — Assign Tasks to Team Members

  1. Tap Task from the project
  2. Give the task a clear title
  3. Add an Assignee — the team member responsible for the task
  4. Set a Start Date and a Due Date
  5. Set the Priority level: Low, Normal, High, or Urgent
  6. Add Subtasks — either manually or tap AI Generation to let MorningMate’s AI automatically generate subtasks for you
  7. Tap Post — all assigned members get an instant notification

Step 5 — Schedule Events and Meetings

  1. Tap the plus icon then select Events
  2. Give the event a title (example: Team Meeting)
  3. Set the duration — specific time frame or toggle All Day
  4. Add Participants by tapping People and selecting attendees
  5. Choose venue type:
    • Offline — in-person meeting
    • Online — schedule via Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams directly inside MorningMate
  6. Add a short description in the Content field
  7. Tap Post — all participants receive an instant notification

Step 6 — Create a Poll for Team Voting

  1. From the feed, tap the plus icon then Poll
  2. Give the poll a title
  3. Type in all the voting options
  4. Tap Post

The poll appears in the project feed and all participants can vote immediately — great for collecting feedback on campaigns, menus, designs, or any team decision.


Step 7 — Private Chat with Teammates

For private one-on-one conversations:

  1. Tap Members inside the project
  2. Select the teammate or client you want to message
  3. Tap Chat on their profile to open a private conversation
